I recently helped my friend and all-round Tube nerd Geoff Marshall with a map of disused stations for the Londonist website. See it here.
I’ll be signing copies of my new book Working the London Underground at the London Transport Museum this Saturday (December 14), from 12-2pm. Entry is free, as the event takes place in the museum shop. Hope to see some of you there.

My new book ‘Working the London Underground’ is out now. It covers how the original Tube lines were constructed 150 years ago, and how the network grew in the decades that followed, each time a new line was added. The book also covers how the London Underground is run, including a look at long-lost jobs on the network, and how it operates in the 21st century. The text is backed up with a wide selection of photos, including many from the London Transport Museum archive. Read more and buy from here.
I was recently honored to be invited back for another appearance on the Londonist Out Loud podcast, this time talking about subjects from my three books, ‘Do Not Alight Here’, ‘London’s Lost Power Stations and Gasworks’ and ‘Working the London Underground’. Listen here.
